Week Three - Research

RESEARCH

What did you learn from your From my research I have learnt more about my medium as a
research? whole as I feel that I have learned more about my target
audience and what they want to see, the different social
medias that are used and what they tend to use social media
for. i found out that many people of my target audience use
social medias for entertainment, talking to friends and family I
also found out that there are many professionals In the
medium of my genre such as James Bonet who is an
internationally known writer and story consultant.

How has the research into existing
artists and professionals helped you
improve your ideas?
I decided to do research on James bonnet who is an
internationally known writer and story consultant and has
written a variety of different films that use the genre coming of
age. His most popular film with this genre is called ‘ The
coming of age Story. From my main research into James
bonnet I have found that in order for me to improve and
develop my ideas. I am going to have ti make sure I am much
more creative with my ideas as they develop, editing and also
my camera work, meaning I will need to use camera angles
and shots that I may have no used before. This will be good for
me as I feel if I do this then I can use and expand on my shots
when filming in new projects coming up next year.

How has the research into your
target audience helped you improve
your ideas?
Research into my target audience has helped me to
also expand on my idea for my production as i have
found out that lots of my target audience haven’t heard
of the genre I have chosen and that they are interested
in seeing a short film based on this medium.

How has the research into your When researching the platforms I found that the
platform helped you improve your majority of my target use Facebook and snapchat the
ideas? most therefore I have chosen for when I have
completed my production to post it on these two mainly
 I decieed this from sending survey out.
