EG Lesson – The Way Of Intimacy

Text: Eph. 2:13

Big Idea: “Intimacy in The Blood Of Jesus”

LEAN IN – get started with fun, easy, and engaging question (10 Min.))
What is your definition of sacrifice or when did you feel that you bought
something at a precious price?

LOOK DOWN – Find the answers in the Scripture passages Bible. (25 min.)
God purchased you with a great price. God even give His one and only begotten
Son for you to be saved.

In 2:1-10, he has rehearsed our dreadful past when we walked in our sins (2:1-3), followed
by that glorious contrast, “But God,” leading to the amazing blessings that we now enjoy in
Christ (2:4-9). Then he spells out the consequence of God creating us anew, that we now
should walk in good deeds (2:10). Then he repeats the same progression in 2:11-22, but
with the focus not so much on our blessings individually, but rather, corporately.
Read & Share: Ask someone to read aloud the following scripture.
1. Ephesians 2:11-12 – What is our spiritual past?
2. Ephesians 2:13-18 – What are the things we have now?
3. Ephesians 2:19-22 – What is/are the consequences?

LOOK OUT – Connect the world of the to our culture. (10 min.)
As we understand what God has done for us through His Son.

In your understanding, we experience intimacy because of what Jesus did what


are those?

LOOK IN – Go straight to the heart of the matter. (30 Min.)


Everything that Jesus Christ did for us to experience intimacy.

- Share your experiences that you are now in Christ Jesus, you are now
brought near to God, and you are bought by the blood of Jesus Christ.
- What lessons have you learned about what Jesus did?
- Now that you understand what Jesus did how would you response to Him in
the way you live your life?

LOOK UP – Pray together (10 Min.)

Spend some time in praising the Lord and praying for one another.

LIVE IT OUT – Share what you discovered with others and put it into action. (5
min.)

1. Go out and share with at least 2 other people what you learned.
2. This coming days spend some times meditating and living in worship,
giving and listening to God.
