HOMEWORK 2 STUDENT’S NOTE

Paraphrasing: Strategy 4 – Revising the Order of Ideas

Paraphrase the texts given by revising the order of the ideas.

Students are often caught committing four common plagiarism mistakes. The most common
mistake is to commit direct plagiarism, where the students use words directly from the
original text and do not cite the text properly. Another plagiarism mistake is self-plagiarism,
where the students reuse their previous assignment without getting prior permission from
their lecturers. The third type of plagiarism is mosaic plagiarism, where the students copy the
structure of the original work and merely change certain words and phrases, without citing
the original writer source. The last type of plagiarism is accidental plagiarism, where the
students accidentally forget to cite the original writer source1.
