The GPS module allows you to get position and altitude, as well as speed, date and time on UTC (Universal Time Coordinated).
This product is compatible with Arduino (arduino-uno.html), Raspberry Pi (raspberry-pi-b-512m.html) and Intel Galileo boards
(intel-galileo-board.html).

Description
GPS Module for Arduino is a small electronic circuit that allows to connect to your Arduino (arduino-uno.html) board to get
position and altitude, as well as speed, date and time on UTC (Universal Time Coordinated). Internal GPS antenna
(index.php/internal-gps-antenna.html) is not included. It is sold as an optional and it is required to use the module.

The assembled module is Vincotech A1080-B that uses the standard NMEA and SIRF III protocols (www.nmea.org
(http://www.nmea.org/)) to transmit the position data via serial port.

GPS module for Arduino is a perfect complement for developing geolocalization applications.

It can be used with many navigation NMEA compatible software

IMPORTANT! Handle with care the internal antenna. It's fragile. To get a correct fixation with the satellites, please cover the
module with a plastic box
