Information for Newly selected Candidates for admission into

M.Tech/M.Des/MSR Program 2019

Registration (including document verification, academic course registration, etc) of MTech/

M.Des./ MS(R) programme is scheduled on July 19, 2019 (Friday); and your physical presence on this
day is must. If a candidate fails to register on 19-07-2019, his/her selection shall be cancelled forthwith.
Selected candidates are therefore requested to reach the IIT Guwahati campus, positively by July 18, 2019
(Thursday).

At the time of Registration on 19-07-2019, you must bring and produce all Certificates, Mark Sheets, &
Other Documents listed below in Original as well as a Scanned Copy (in PDF format) and two sets of
Photocopy (Xerox copy).

 All Certificates (Pass/ Degree Certificates, Mark Sheets/ Grade Cards, etc) starting from 10 th
Class onward – upto Qualifying Degree/ Exam

 Documents for Qualified in GATE/ CEED/ NET/ INSPIRE/ etc – if applicable

 Birth Certificate (for proof of Date of Birth)

 OBC(Non-Creamy Layer Certificate) in prescribed format issued on or after 01.04.2018 – if

applicable

 SC/ ST Caste Certificate in prescribed format – if applicable

 PwD Certificate in prescribed format – if applicable

 EWS Income & Asset Certificate in prescribed format – if applicable

 Medical Certificate (as per format available at:

 Sponsorship Letter/ No Objection Certificate from the Employer/ Work Experience Certificate,
etc and Letter of Granting Leave & Releasing you for joining MTech programme from the
Employer – if applicable

 Your Photograph in Color (Background in White Color, Passport Size – 10 Nos.; Stamp Size –
10 Nos.)

 If you have Aadhaar Card, then Photocopy and Scanned Copy (in PDF format) of Aadhaar Card

 Proof of advance registration fees paid for booking seat (if applicable)

 You have to pay balance fees of Rs. 3,780/- (three thousand seven hundred eighty rupees only),
being the difference between actual registration fees i.e. Rs. 54,530 (Gen/OBC-NCL) or
Rs.49,530/- (SC/ST/PD) – advance fees paid i.e. Rs. 50,750/- (Gen/OBC-NCL) or Rs.45,750/-
(SC/ST/PD). The procedure for payment will be notified later. Candidates who have already paid
full registration fees may ignore the same. The registration fees includes all academic (tuition
fees, library fees etc.) and non-academic fees (mess fees, hostel fees etc.) for 1st Semester
(July-November, 2019).

For accommodation in hostel, please bring your own bedding. Hostel allotment will be displayed in
our website at http://www.iitg.ac.in/acad/freshers/ around July 15, 2019. Please report directly in the hostel on
arrival in the campus. Female students should report at Hostel Subansiri or Dhansiri. Registration Venue will be
notified in due course of time. Classes will start from 24 th July, 2019.

Further notification on the registration programme, class time table, etc, will be available in the notice
boards at hostels, departments, and the Academic Complex of the Institute.
