STS continuity plan during the extended and post-ECQ

Posted on: Thursday, April 16, 2020 4:49:52 PM PST

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are safe and doing well.
In line with the Institutional Continuity Plan of our University during the Extended and Post-
Enhanced Community Quarantine, here are some guidelines and assessments for our class.
I. We will adopt self-paced instruction (asynchronous). All materials are now uploaded on
Blackboard; this includes the (1) Evolution and Society, and (2) Anthropology of Biology.
II. There will be no more quiz. Instead, there will be 3 assessments given for the rest of the
semester (ECQ period):
 A. HWs 3 and 4
 The deadline is extended (final extension) to May 30, 11:59 PM.
 B. The final output of your CIP
 To be uploaded on Blackboard.
 Deadline: May 30, 11:59 PM.
 C. Final Exam
 30 items (Multiple Choice and Modified True or False)
 Coverage is from Technology's 4 key Transition to Anthropology of Biology.
 It is open from April 20 until May 30, 11:59 PM.
 Unlimited Attempts. The last attempt will be graded.
III. - The revised grading system for the finals period (ECQ Period) in our class:
  50% CIP
  20% HW
  30% Final Exam
 The passing grade is now 50% (Raw grade).
 Your Final Grade will be the average raw grade of 1st shifting period and ECQ period
then transmuted to 50% passing.
IV. - If you failed to submit any of the assessments, you will be given a grade of INP.
 If you have stable access to electronic equipment and/or internet, or if you don't have
any health or other quarantine-related concerns, I suggest that you complete all the
assessments given to avoid complications and so that it will not be a burden to you
anymore in the future.
