CLOUD BASED LEARNING

CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
on
AUTOMOTIVE CRASH & SAFETY
Key tool: LS-Dyna

Curriculum
Version 1.0
OBJECTIVE

FEA is a powerful, widely used and universally accepted technique. However, for those new to FEA
there is a steep learning curve to learn about elements, nodes and solution types, meshing, loading
and constraint methods.

Pre-post processing options is before we even get down to the engineering physics behind the
problem, with associated classic traps and errors. To help you evolve as a credible engineer get
exposed to practical assessment of the method and how to use it in the real world.

where you will be able to produce FE Modelling of components and assemblies of Automotive
plastic , BIW , sheet metal etc in automobile or any other mechanical equipment.

COURSE SCHEDULE

• Live, 02 Hours Session 5 Days/ Week

• 1-hour Review Session 5 days / Week ( Over active blog , email, group chat)
• 05 Hours of Practice 5 days / week ( Practice hours would be as per individual’s convenience )

EXECUTION OF MINI PROJECT

• Based on each module course content, there will be mini project given to every
individual.
• Individual should start executing the project with the provided inputs.
• At the end of the project trainee should submit their reports for further
certification
• These mini projects would be either focused on Automobile plastics, BIW or
Sheet metals parts

EVALUATION:

After completion each module, tool test will be given to you. Based on the performance tool
test and mini project he/she will be graded as pe below score rating.

Grade A : 7.5 & above

Garde B: 5 & above
Grade C : 2.5 & above

Average rating will be taken for both tool and project performance, based on the above

Mini Project Summary:

The mini project is to make you get hand on with tool by working on real time project. One of the
project sample in mini project could be drop test is one for the most damaging product-use tests
that design engineers have to consider when creating a new product or optimizing a current one.
Mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, with their rigid structural frames and glass
displays, are especially susceptible to failure when dropped onto a solid surface as high g-forces are
distributed throughout the structure.

Mini Project Summary:

In this advanced model, we will increase the complexity of mini project. A sample real time
problem solving could be how a retractor model can be simulated within the typical working
points of a retractor.

The component could be simulated to pretensioning, coupling and load limiting of a frontal
crash without the need of a sled and/or dummy. Or any alternative simulation could be guided
thought to take up mini project.
