To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to tell you that I believe that Mr. Brent Cheatham is going to make a wonderful teacher. He
loves his students and is passionate about history. In my conversations with about our government and
the Civil Rights Movement, I was very impressed with his knowledge and ideas of how to present them
to our students. What was great was he would tell me some of what he was teaching and I would be
able to support him by talking about it in science also.

I also have the perspective as a mom of one of his students. My son enjoyed his class and was excited to
be in his class. He let me know that Mr. Cheatham would talk to the students in a way that they could
understand and made it fun.

As I watched Brent interact with the students, he did form relationships in which the students felt
comfortable with him and trusted him. As he gains more experience he will continue to grow and build
his toolbox to work with the students. It would be an honor to work as his colleague again.
