Actions Plan for post Covid-19 lockdown for carrying out O&M, Construction &
Manufacturing activities on IR

O&M :

1. During the lock-down period around 30% staff is being utilized for
maintenance activates for reliable and safe train operation. It is planned
to take up full maintenance activates one week prior to operation
passenger train to ensure smooth train operation. This will include
following:
 Testing of all point machines
 Testing of all Signals
 Testing of all track circuits.

2. Resumption of activities will be subject to implementation of

preventive measures as per latest guidelines dated 19/4/2020 from
MOHFW. Divisions have already initiated procurement for materials
required to ensure the guidelines. To ensure these guidelines
following action will be taken:
 To ensure safety of staff PPE kits including face cover/mask,
hand sanitizer/Soap and gloves will be given.
 Safety protocols for staff in post lock-down period is being
issued by HQ.

3. On-line training by S&T training School for staff is planned to be

arranged.

Project Activities:

1. Targets are being reviewed in view of precious time lost during lock-
down and availability of fund

2. Financial liabilities are being reviewed. Financial liability will be

incurred only for the works likely to be completed in this financial
year.

3. Expenditure shall be done only on the targeted works. If required

the delivery period of items being procured for all the works may be
changed.
