Thermal Printer
Uses:
Thermal printers are used most commonly to create labels, safety signs, way finding
markers, barcodes, shipping labels, and other heavily-used items.
Laser Printer
The laser printer was developed by Xerox in the 1960s when the idea of using a laser to
draw images onto a copier drum was first considered. Laser printers are still widely used in
large offices as they are traditionally more efficient than inkjet printers.
Uses:
Laser printers are one of the many types of printers available on the market today. Instead
of using ink, lasers use toner to replicate the object, and then transfer it to paper.
Businesses use laser printers almost exclusively because they have the reputation of being
reliable while making a quality print product. Some common uses for laser printers include
printing company stationery, making labels, and creating company fliers and brochures.
3D Printer
3D printers use an amazing technology where you can take a 3D digital file and with the
click of a button, use that file to create an actual digital 3D part. The printer deposits layers
of material on top of each other until a physical object is created such as a ball, a face, a
cup or any other thing you can think of.
Uses:
3D printing is used to manufacture moulds for making jewelry, and even the jewelry
itself. 3D printing is becoming popular in the customizable gifts industry, with products such
as personalized models of art and dolls, in many shapes: in metal or plastic, or as
consumable art, such as 3D printed chocolate.
