1 Managing Director
i. DDIT has Managing Director who is the Heads of Administration and non-academic
support units of the DDIT. She/he is responsible for the annual budget, compliance
with budget regulations and is in charge of the operational financial and legal affairs
of the institutes.
ii. The Managing Director is nominated by the Scientific Director in agreement with the
university president and appointed by the Supervisory Boards of the Institute.
c) Overall responsibility for budget planning, budget steering and the expenditure
policy in coordination with the Scientific and Deputy Directors;
d) Securing the budget, ensuring financial liquidity and the realization of the
directives of the institute’s Supervisory Board;
e) Responsibility for the human resource policy, planning of the personnel budget
and human resource development in coordination with the Scientific and Deputy
Directors;
i) To develop and implement institutional standard measures and ensure that the
academic and administrative operations of the institute are on the basis of the
standards.
l) Prepare institutional plans and budget and ensure their implementation upon
approval;
m) To plan the budget of the institute, including requests for block-grant budget
pursuant to Section Three of the Proclamation whenever the Institute is ready to
operate under this system, to be directly submitted to the government upon
approval by the Supervisory Board and to manage the allocated budget and all
financial affairs of the Institute;
p) Manage and take decisions on all property at the disposal of the institute in the
interest of the institute in conformity with the law;
q) Build and maintain a system of procurement and conduct local and international
procurement in conformity with the law;
d) The Deputy Managing Director shall represent the Managing Director in his/her
absence;
