Type 1: Infographs to inference

Questions should contain two or more pictures/graphs which are interrelated to each other
and ask for the inference from the graph.

Sample: population graph for certain years and lifestyle of a person during certain years.

Type 2: Tables to inference

Questions should be in the form of tabulation with datas and infer the details/analysis and
justify the answer.

Sample: student result analysis year wise.

Type 3: Flowchart/tree diagram to questions

Questions should be in the form of Tree diagram/Flow chart and give a

conditions/customize it and ask for the conclusion or ask them to represent in a different
way.

Sample: choose a particular process in a banking system procedure among all other process
for applying loan.

Type 4: Large explanation, to inference (decision,conclusion)

Questions should have large explanation on the topic and ask inference from that such as
decision making,judgement and conclusions.

Type 5: Emotion type

Questions related to emotions in which the abstract data is provided and ask for the
answers beyond the given content.

Sample: why does a symbol of coffee cup is used in JAVA logo?

Type 6: Articles/magazines

Questions framed from the magazines/articles/news/publications three days in advance to

the exam.Provide the crisp details about the news.

Sample: based on latest/current trends in technology.(software versions, mobile apps)

Type 7: Controversial statements

Questions with two controversial statements about a case is given and ask for the
justification of both the statements.

Sample: usage of single core processor vs dual core processor in multithreaded

environment.

Type 8: Multiple tables and infographs to inference

Questions provided with multiple tables/pictures/graphs/combination of all and infer the

details/analyze and justify the answer.

Sample:population graph for different years and lifespan of a person (table) during certain
years.

Type 9: Terms and conditions

Questions framed from the least bothered things in real time practical cases like terms and
conditions in privacy policies.

Sample: battery lifetime, duration for usage of a plastic bottles.

Type 10: Financial aspects

Questions framed from technical impacts based on the financial aspects like stock
market/GST.

Sample: cost estimation of a process.

Type 11: Theoretical description to graph

Given a theoretical description for a characteristic curve/geometrical representation and ask

for the best option.

Sample: distance information of different places and ask to match the correct route map.

Type 12: Incomplete data to make decision

Questions with incomplete data and ask to complete the data/make a decision.

Sample: Given a picture of a dc motor without a brush and ask to supply the current to the
load.

Type 13: Health awareness

Questions relevant to health awareness in day-to-day life.This should be a part in end
semester for 5 to 10 marks.

Sample: Is it safe to sleep inside a car with AC in ON condition?Give reason.

Type 14: Problematic questions

Solve the problematic questions and provide the solution. Change any data and ask to solve
for the changes made.

Derive the derivation based questions and give some boundary conditions.Ask for the
changes.

Type 16: Process sequence

Give the steps of a process and choice of methods/algorithms.Ask them to reorder the steps
according to the given methods /algorithms.

Sample: Conversion of Ice to water.(provide the necessary process flow pictorial form)
Choose the method and reorder to achieve the process quickly.Method 1:keeping the Ice in
sunlight. Method 2: placing the ice in hot pan.

plant and assemble it to obtain the process flow from the provided pipeline diagram .
