Perfect. Please convey the Mayor is aware and working with industry partners
including the economic development corporation to reach out and clearly
convey guidelines and our intent to do all possible to flatten the curve and
protect our community.
Hi Pete,

I’m manning the calls for the Public Health main line until
12:30. I received another call from an employee at LM
Windpower. I am wondering how you responded to the email
from this morning. This second call did specifically ask who
else she can raise the issue to and I informed her that I would
let the Mayor’s office know.
Thanks,
Haley Bruhn

Hello,
I am at LM Wind Power in
Grand Forks and I am concerned about
our company's indifference to
recommendations made by health
professionals, as well as city and local
governments regarding prevention of
the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
While schools have been required to
send their students home indefinitely;
and bars, restaurants, and other
business have had to temporarily shut
down or alter their business models to
allow for social distancing; our
company leadership has refused to
make any changes to the way we
operate. We are still having large staff
meetings (three times last week, they
held plant meetings with one to two
hundred employees present), and our
cafeterias/office spaces are over-
crowded, making social distancing
impossible. We could (and should) be
taking basic measures like requesting
employees work from home whenever
possible, or staggering lunch breaks to
prevent the cafeterias from becoming
too crowded, but these
concerns/recommendations were
completely ignored when brought up
to our health and safety department.
Thank you,
City of Grand Forks, ND
