COURSE SYLLABUS
Title of the Course : Psycho-Social Foundation of Education
Course Code : IE 502
Course Credit : 3 Units
Time Duration : 6 weeks/ 8 hours per week
Course Approach : Lecture- Discussion/ Individual Report

Course Description:

The course is about the Psychological and Sociological Foundation of Education as applied to situation
in any Educational Institutions. It provides knowledge from different Psychologist and Sociologist and their
corresponding contribution to education. It will also help the students to know and conceptualize the value and
importance of the course in the field of education.

This course is a preparation for the students as their guide and reference or as a reviewer for their
comprehensive exam.

Course Objective:

1. Acquire advance knowledge in Psychology and Sociology as one of the basis approaches in
education.
2. Apply Concepts and Principles discussed by the different Psychologist and Sociologist in education.
3. Develop personality through learning acquired by the course.
4. Prepare the students to know the Principles and studies conducted by the different Psychologist and
Sociologist
5. It will serve as a guide and reference for their comprehensive exam.
