Eight Redbirds Named to MVC Swimming and Diving Scholar-


Athlete Team
NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State swimming and diving teams had eight student-athletes named to the Missouri Valley
Conference Scholar-Athlete team after the MVC Championships.

To qualify for the Scholar-Athlete team, athletes must have competed for at least one year, being a sophomore
academically and athletically, and meet one of the following three criteria’s:
- 3.2 cumulative GPA and all-conference, or
- 3.5 cumulative GPA and top sixteen finish in individual event at championship, or
- 3.8 cumulative GPA and participation in MVC Championship, including non-scorers

The Redbirds named to this team and their grade point averages are Molly Hill (4.0), Jensen Keck (4.0), Kari Balson
(4.0), Jessica Nichols (3.80), Morgan Rosser (3.75), Savannah Rubocki (3.75), Katie Tillotson (3.75), and Jordan
Peterson (3.50).

“We are very proud of the hard work that our athletes have put in both the pool and the classroom,” said head
swimming coach Scott Cameron. “It is a great honor to be selected as a scholar athlete, and we are excited that they
have earned the right to be a part of this team.”
