1) What is important to her?

Human rights which helped her develop the worth of an individual. Veritivity where "truth is

one", she felt that it is important to have a creator. Scientific aspects were important to her

such as neurology, systems theory, adaptation theory.

Week 4- Roy Care Plan

Nursing process - a systematic process used to identify and diagnose. Allows you to organize and

systemize your care. A tool used to support critical thinking and you can go back and forth between the

steps.

Assessment- subjective and objective observations.

 Subjective - what the patient says; objective; what information you take such as interview,

physical examination

Nursing Diagnoses-

 use info you have to formulate judgements, present name for key issues that are present in

client

Planning

 establish a plan that is client centered that is specific to the client, part of the plan is setting

goals and outcomes. Nurse uses critical thinking in this process. Also need to establish

timelines.

Implementation

 implementing the care plan; actions that a nurse would put in place

 Nursing actions can be independent, interdependent, dependant

 interdependent - collaborative actions that work in conjunction with other individuals


 dependent- actions that require orders or directions from physicians such as medication
