JOURNAL

(WEEK 2)

I. OBJECTIVE
The objective for the 2nd week was to perform job task to familiarize the real life
work place environment. This will help to explore the relationship between the
knowledge and skills acquired in school with those required in the working situations.

II. REFLECTIONS FROM THE OBJECTIVE

The trainees had the opportunity to go on site. Through experience and
observation they actually see the work that they were working on in theory and
brought to life. This helped them to understand just how important each stage of a
project really is.

III. ACCOMPLISHMENT/S FOR THE DAY

a. Practice in academics and gathered more knowledge.
b. Assigned to receive papers.
c. Experienced being a safety officer
d. Know how to read a draw plan of slab and column details.
e. Assigned a task to estimate.

IV. REALIZATION ABOUT THE TASK/S

Overall the work experience was positive. The trainees were contented with the
amount of things that they’ve gained for the week. In addition to enjoyable
environment, they acquired an extraordinary amount about engineering and
leadership which will be very useful as they move forward.
