Who needs school

“Who needs school” this is the main question that I ask myself everyday.
Why do I think about it every day? It’s because school and high school are useless,
but in the same time useful in many ways. From my point of view, school and high
school can help you know something about your country and a few things about
the general culture. The most important advantage of the high school is that
throughout high school you can meet more people's typologies. This can help you
to develop your social character. Another benefit would be that during high
school you can discover your true potential and you can find a role in your life.
From here I could say that the benefits have come to an end. I finally got to my
favorite part. Sincerely since I graduated from school, I realized how useless the
high school might be. For four years, you are kept in an educational institute,
learning up to thirteen materials, hoping that you will use them in the near
future. But in fact of all those thirteen materials you will only use the ones you
need. What do I mean by "the ones you need"? Well, it is supposed that in these
four years, you have to find a passion for a certain field, and with the help of
those thirteen materials it is assumed that you would be so smart that you could
enter without problems in the respective field. But you are actually forced to
learn a lot of materials that loads more your mind than helping you. For example,
I would like to go to the field of medicine, where I need only four materials:
biology, chemistry, Romanian and English. And here we go with the high school
timetable. The timetable should be done as you pleased, for example you could
go to ten in the morning in high school and for four or five hours you will learn the
materials for your field. This way you could improve your knowledge for your
desired field. Instead, you are forced to sit at the hours you think you do not
need, you are packed with a lot of homework, and you are also required to learn
about those material because you need grades on those materials. And so the
majority of students end up abandoning school. I think more high school and
school wants to make you more a robot than a person with his own thinking and
opinions.
