One has to take many marketing decisions like

1) To which type of customers one can sell its product or services and also decide its
geographical boundaries and for that the various factors like customers income, its taste &
preferences etc should be considered.
2) What type of product or products should be offered by seller from the various options
available.
3) Decision of determining that what charge should be taken for each product or service
provided to the customers.
4) Whether to sell products directly to the customers or to sell it indirectly through other
wholesalers or via retailers.
5) How to come in contact or how to reach to the customers to whom the products are to be
sold.
6) How the advertising of the products should be done for example by radios, television or by
giving advertisements in newspapers and through many other ways.

There are four policies which are included important decisions for marketer

1) Product policy
 All the aspects of the products which the customers receives including the physical
product and all of the service enhancements , also sometimes the product is a purely
service.
2) Price policy
 The total financial cost of the product to the customer which includes discounts,
rebates and many more and also the prices to the retailers or wholesalers who carry
the product.
3) Distribution policy
 It is about the intermediares through which the product flows to the customer
