3rd April, 2020

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express interest in employment for the 2020-2021 school year. As I

have progressed in my student teaching experience, I have been able to gain
experience teaching both elementary and secondary. I believe that teaching for a
variety of age levels helped me to observe the needs of students at different
developmental and technical stages.

Working at Day Violins LLC allowed me to learn basic instrument repair, and I was
able to work with parents and students to help them rent instruments. This experience
gave me more practice with sizing instruments for students and learning about the
process for public school teachers to send instruments for repair to the shop. During
my time at James Madison University, being an executive member of the club
orchestra for two years allowed me to instruct full ensemble rehearsals and gain
experience teaching students at a variety of playing levels.

My professional vision for my future class is to provide an inclusive environment that

fosters students’ creativity. I want to provide students with the tools they need to be
involved in music making beyond the classroom and develop a lifelong appreciation
for music and the arts.

Sincerely,

Abby Volcansek
