Community Service Reflection
Date(s) of community service:
11/28/19, 9/12/19
Location of community service:
Jones Automotive Shop
With whom did you work during your community service?
I worked alone on my projects.

Why did you choose this community service activity (or activities)?
I chose these activities because one of the activities required me to be washing cars and I would
spend lots of time in the sun, hopefully earning a nice tan along with some service hours.

What did you learn about the organization, company, or business during your participation?
I learned that it is important to always take another glance at what you think is the “final
product”. It is important to double-check your work to make sure whether it be a customer or a
teacher, that they know they are getting a product with effort.

How does your community service connect to any of the following: your career interests,
personal interests, academic achievement, and targeted soft skills?
The work itself really helped with perseverance. I have never been shy to physical labor though,
it was nothing new. The payoff was very rewarding to see the impact I made on the projects
assigned to me.
