REMINDERS AND GUIDELINES FOR FINAL GRADING PERIOD (PHA618 LABORATORY)

Following the announcement and guidelines set by the university, we will continue to deliver classes online
from April 20, 2020 to May 23, 2020. For PHA618 Laboratory, online classes will remain asynchronous. All
discussions will be recorded and all handouts will be provided. Should you have any questions regarding the
course, please direct them to your class president and they may contact us thru UST email.

GRADING SYSTEM

As per the Faculty of Pharmacy Implementing Guidelines, the grading system will be:

First Shifting Grading Period = 50%


Final Grading Period = 50% (60% Lecture; 40% Laboratory)
100%

 Grading system for the First Shifting Grading Period will follow the grading system in the Course Plan.
 Grading System for the Final Grading Period for PHA618 Laboratory class will be as follows:

Class Standing
Activities (Pithing, Infographics, Case Analysis) = 40%
Laboratory Worksheets = 20%
Peer Evaluation = 10%
Long Examination = 30%
100%

RECORDED DISCUSSIONS

Recorded discussions and handouts will be uploaded for the remaining topics in the Final Grading Period.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRADED ASSESSMENTS:

INFOGRAPHICS

1. Review the uploaded infographics mechanics and rubrics (see content folder in Blackboard).
2. Submit the jpeg files under file name PHA618-Infographic-Section-Surname of first member of the
group (Example: PHA618-Infographic-1APH-DELACRUZ)
3. All submissions must be made thru Blackboard.

MDD CASE ANALYSIS

1. This is a group activity. Indicate in the file that you will submit the names of the group members and
your section.
2. Place your answers on the given space after each question.
3. Please use the MDD recorded discussion and other relevant sources as your guide in answering the
questions.
4. Submit the document with your answers with file name PHA618-Case-Execise-MDD-Section-Surname
of first member of the group (Example: PHA618-Case-Execise-MDD-1APH-DELACRUZ)
5. All submissions must be made thru Blackboard.

LABORATORY WORKSHEETS

1. This is a group activity. Indicate in the file that you will submit the names of the group members and
your section.
2. All exercise worksheets from Exercise 7-39 (except Exercise 24) must be submitted. You may skip the
exercises that you have already submitted in class and pages that require results from actual
experiments.
3. All exercise worksheets must be submitted in one pdf file per group. Please arrange them
chronologically.
4. Submit your pdf files under the file name PHA618-Lab-Worksheets-Section-Surname of first member of
the group (Example: PHA618-Lab-Worksheets-1APH-DELACRUZ).
5. All submissions must be made thru Blackboard.
6. Maximum number of points per exercise is 10/10.

PEER EVALUATION

1. Rate each group member, including yourself, in terms of the contributions made towards the
collaborative assessments.
2. The following attributes shall be used in grading:
