Effect of Air Pollution

Introduction:
Air pollution is interpreted as the catastrophic effect of any source, which contributes to environmental
pollution and / or environmental degradation that is made up of several types of pollution, in solid, liquid and
gas stages. Content included. In-house air pollution will not be particularly considered during this article.
Air pollution is a problem of several decades, which has a serious impact on human health, and the
surroundings sources of pollution vary from small units of cigarettes and natural sources like volcanic activities
to large volumes of emission from motor engines of cars and industrial activities. Long-term effects of pollution
on the beginning of diseases such as respiratory and cardiovascular dysfunctions and cancer are widely
accepted hence the pollution is linked with many deaths annually. A recent study has revealed the association
between male infertility and pollution.
Air pollution has currently emerged in developing countries as a result of industrial activities and also
increases the number of emission sources like inappropriate vehicles. About 4.3 million people die from
domestic air pollution 3.7 million die from air pollution, most of them living in Asia.In Pakistan as a developing
country, the level of air pollution has increased slowly since the beginning of the industry in the 2000s,
however, it is a very important area in some megacity areas such as Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad and the
capital of Pakistan.Pakistan is the most 3rd polluted country in the world. It ended in 2013. For the first time,
the government closed schools and colleges in the province of Punjab and many people died due to air
pollution in many cities of the province as well as in several cities of the province. Therefore, it is important to
clarify this issue, to provide recommendations as to the basis of environmental indicators and common
protocols in the field of pollution in Pakistan, with significant toxic effects on human health. This article tries to
explain the problem of air pollution and cause and their harmful effects in developing countries like Pakistan.
During this review, we sought to summarize the toxicology of air pollution and related illnesses in possible
procedures and appropriate management of patients. Therefore, it will be useful to environmental and health
professionals, especially policy makers, emergency physicians, and other medical professionals who may
also be involved in pollution and related diseases. During this article, we also discuss the source of pollution
and offer some possible solutions that may be beneficial for environmental lawmakers and decision makers.

Causes of air pollution and their harmful effects

Air Pollution is the most dangerous form of pollution. It occurs when any harmful gases smoke, dust enters into
the atmosphere and the causes of air pollution are many like industrial waste; number of industries are
important sources of air pollution like SO2, NO2, CO and etc. Air Pollution is also caused by chemical plants,
pulp, paper mills, sugar mills etc. Cement factories produce a huge amount of dust which acts as
SUSPENDED PARTICULATE MATTER and this is very harmful for children and old men. Exhausts of
automobile gases is a serious cause of air pollution. Automobiles produce unburnt Hydrocarbons,CO2, NO2
,lead oxides, etc. Pollution from exhaust gases of vehicles is responsible for 60% of air pollution and in metro
cities to is up 80% in Pakistan. There is also air pollution due to nuclear power plants, the processed nuclear
fuel is introduced into the reactors to carry out fission activation. Volatile materials released from nuclear
reactors( inert gases and halogens) become potential contaminants of the environment. The effort of air
pollution is very harmful for human health because when we breathe, the air goes into the lungs and because
of this humans can have many diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer ,cardiovascular diseases,
etc. Now, Air pollution has become so much that it is raining poisonous(Acid rain) and it is very harmful for
animals and human because every living things needs water and its effects aquatic life, fresh water lake
,strean, ocean ponds well , soil forest , plants crops and etc

Toxicology of pollution
The effects of air pollution on animals will not only be limited to human and animal health, but will also
include the entire environment. Various geographical conditions, global climate change, and environmental
changes affect human health and animal life.

Environmental damages
Environmentally, air pollution can cause environmental damage to land, soil and air. It is also a threat to the
diversity of life. Studies on the relationship between air pollution and species diversity reduction clearly show
the detrimental effects of environmental pollution on animal and plant species extinction. Suspended air can
also cause reproductive effects in toxic animals. Other major environmental impacts of air pollution are global
climate change caused by acid rain, temperature fluctuations and greenhouse gas emissions.

Air pollutants and their toxicities

Every material within the air which could affect human health or have a profound impact on the environment is
defined as air pollutants. Consistent with the planet Health Organization (WHO), particle pollution,
ground-level O3, CO, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides are the five major air pollutants which harm human health
.There are many pollutants of suspended materials like dust, fumes, smokes, mists, gaseous pollutants,
hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and halogen
derivatives within the air which at the high concentrations cause vulnerability to several diseases including
differing types of cancers. The most important air pollutants and their deadly effects on different human body
organs and related diseases are briefly described one by one below.
Lead particles.
