We would like to inform you about the following:

New barcode readers are going to be available for VIDAS family due to the obsolescence of the Honeywell 3800GPDF
barcode reader.

1. Description

The Honeywell 1400g is a 2D type barcode reader decoding only 1.5D.

Before the end of 2015 this barcode reader will replace the current ones:
- During installation of new system (mini VIDAS, VIDAS PC and VIDAS 3)
- For replacement
- For systems already installed on the field ( System initially installed without barcode readers).

The reading of barcodes is done in one shot picture, instead of scanning with a beam, like described in the user manual.
This barcode reader reads MLE barcode on the VIDAS kit, the PTC barcode and single barcode on the sample tube.

MLE card cannot be read anymore with this barcode reader type.

 These barcodes come also inside of the package.

Note :
- At the end of the configuration, the aiming beam should turn off. If not, this means that the flash of the
barcodes was not correctly performed. Redo the reading of the 3 barcodes of the configuration sheet, so that
the aiming beam turns off at the end of the configuration.
