To Whom It May Concern,

I was the university supervisor for Rachel Pennington for Block 3 of the
2020 spring semester from January 13 - March 5. During that time, Ms.
Pennington taught at the high school level, and began her elementary music
placement in Block 4, but was unable to continue because of school
closures. During Block 3, Ms. Pennington was responsible for teaching
beginning, intermediate, and advanced choirs, and class piano.

Ms. Pennington has a good understanding of music concepts at the high

school level. She worked well with her cooperating teacher to provide
meaningful lessons. Her lessons were always well formatted and sequential
and she knew what she wanted to accomplish. Ms. Pennington seemed
genuinely excited to be in the music classroom and to interact with her
students. She took the time to get to know them to establish relationships,
and to have a good rapport with her classes. Ms. Pennington also worked
with her cooperating teacher to prepare their high school musical. Ms.
Pennington was always professional in her attire and in her interactions with
faculty and students.

I would recommend Ms. Pennington for a position in choral music

education.

Yours truly,

Karen Reichard
