A regional study of over 200 forest plant and bird communities throughout New Jersey
(Piedmont, Highlands, and Ridge & Valley provinces) focused on forest health as well as the
effects of invasive species, deer overpopulation, and the efficacy of controlled burns to
mitigate biological invasions. Duties include plant identification, Passerine identification,
night time deer density surveys, field work, data collection, data entry, and report writing.

Street Tree Inventory, RVCC and Readington Township, NJ

Identified, measured, and marked locations of township street trees using a digital mapping
service with a focus on ash species as an effort to combat the spread of emerald ash borer
and other pests/diseases among township street trees.

Survey changes in the structure of dunes along the New Jersey Coastline including changes
in height, vegetation types, human use, and water level. Installed seabeach amaranth
fencing as a volunteer activity.

Chrysler Herbarium, Mycological Collection Transcriber, 08/01/2016-08/31/2017


Transcribe the expansive mycological specimens stored in the Rutgers Chrysler Herbarium
so that specimen details can be accessed online.
