Yet there was still one light, outstanding into thin air,
And he’d throw his lightning, hoping for it to crack and break
But it was glowing so deeply, that it was making the boy’s darkness fade.
It shined brighter
And brighter
And then
Revealed the boy, out of his shadow
To then turn his gaze towards the light of creation.
Poem #2
You are the Stairway to Heaven.
When people meet your presence, the sight of you is what lifts everyone's spirits.
Just as others look up at the sky, they look up to you with awe and wonder.
Poem #3
My stress connects with contemplation
Grooving on to the next point, the next one and the next one
Navigating through the struggles, the fights, the long deafening sounds
Wounds up crowding me
Poem #4
Coming out from the shadows, coming out from the darkness.
Being cleared is a path, being cleared is the destruction.
Its stepping out and being seen, invisible no longer.
People build its beauty, embracing it to be stronger.
Poem #5
I often wonder why you’re spirit is like a hurricane
If your mood is gray and cloudy
Then you feel like bringing all of the splatters with you
And shower some of your negativity onto others.
Poem #6
My darling newborn nephew
I remember you coming out of the womb as a beautiful, fiery lion.
But the one thing that truly makes you stand out
My beautiful, fiery lion
Is the impression you give to each of us.
Poem #7
Got everything and ready to go
Starting the car
Wait… where’s my keys
Poem #8
What am I missing
Keys, car, clothes, laptop, and me
Why do I forget?
Poem #9
Being together, for perhaps four years, and there’s always one night that we’re all brought
together: graduation. Some of us thought we weren’t going to make it, most of us are grateful to
go to college, start a new life. And now, when all is said and done, we proudly hold hands and
say, “IMUA!”.
Poem #10
Being together,
for perhaps four years,
and there’s always one night that we’re all brought together
Graduation.
And now,
when all is said and done,
we proudly hold hands and say,
“IMUA!”.
Poem #11
Being<--------> together,
for maybe 1, 2, 3, 4! years,
And NOOOWWWW,
when all is said and done,
we proudly hold hands and say,
“IMUA!”.
Poem #12
In the mysterious caption of gray holds a big yellow light, flashing it’s
smiles across the room.
When you reach out to feel its spirit, you are touching the light of its
marshmallow texture.
As you go closer to this big yellow light, your noses will catch its aroma
of the sweet, delectable candied peeps.
However, I do not very well recommend you eat the light of candy
sense, because it’s sweetness can taste quite sweet as poison.
And, oddly, the big yellow light flashes not only so bright, but also so
loud, to where you can hear its spongy squish compressing.
Poem #13
I remember the sound of Pink
Her voice singing at the end of the movie,
While my head rested fondly on your shoulder.
Yet now,
I look back
And that moment no longer triggers me.
You and I have separated
Our journey has ended
Because now
I will always remember the sight
Of you chasing her, not me
I will always remember the sight
Of my phone no longer ringing
And I will always remember the sight
Of your texts no longer coming
Of you no longer talking
To me.
Poem #14
I remember the taste of red colliding with yellow
That spreading of marinara sauce laying the foundation for its additional graces
Of cheese, pepperoni, bacon, and sausage.
