Customizing for new VAT Numbering as per PER-24/PJ/2012

Number group used in all example – Z1ID99

1. Context Information

The solution reuses existing functionality for number groups and number ranges in Indonesia
ODN customizing. We recommend creating one number group per calendar year for the new
numbering system.

The validity period for already existing number ranges should be ended at 31/03/2012. New
number ranges in 2013 should have the validity period set from 01/04/2013 to 31/12/2013.
From 2014, number ranges should be valid for the whole year.

2. View - V_OFF_NUM_ID
a. Example 1 – Issued Numbers
900-13.03000011 – 900-13.03000111, where 13 stands for year 2013

Create a new number group and maintain ‘900’ in the code 2 field of view V_OFF_NUM_ID

Create a new number range (“05” in this example) and maintain serial numbers 03000011 –
03000111 as shown below :
Thus “900-13.03000011 - 900-13.03000111” in our example will be maintained as –

900 – as code 2 in view ‘V_OFF_NUM-ID’

13 – year 2013 – Will be populated automatically by the system

03000011-03000111 – as numbers of number range 05 in SNRO

b. Example 2 – Issued Numbers

900-13.99999991 – 901-13.00000112, where 13 stands for year 2013
In this series leading three digits of the first and last number are different (from 900 to
901 ) . In these cases -
 Maintain two entries in view ‘V_OFF_NUM_ID’
For each 900 and 901 in code 2

 Maintain number ranges in SNRO as below –

In this example, after the numbers of number range 06 are consumed, the
system will automatically switch to number range 07 .
3. How to find the last number used ?

At the end of the year, unused serial numbers have to be reported to the authorities. Last used
number in a range number range can be seen in transaction SNRO for that sub group and number range.
Using this functionality, it is easy to derive the sequence of serial numbers of the corresponding number
range which have not been used.

Steps to retrieve the last used number:

1. Transaction – SNRO
Give Number range object as J_1AOFFDOC

2. Click on ‘Number Ranges’ as highlighted above

3. Give the sub object maintained in view – ‘V_OFF_NUM_ID’ as shown below and click on
intervals(edit mode)
4. The last number used can be indentified by the number in ‘Current Number field’.
