I had learned many topics in Business ethics and Corporate Governance. First we can see the
meaning of Business Ethics and corporate Governance.

Business Ethics is a study of certain policies, rules and practices that an organization should
follow in its complete operations

Corporate Governance means the rules regulations and set of policies which a company or an
organization follows or implements to balance the interest of customers, share holders or stake
holders , suppliers and governments and society.

The reason behind implementingBusiness Ethics in an organization to maintain equality in

employees by providing rewards and punishments any violation in ethics should be detected at
the earliest and take remedial measures as immediate as possible

The next team presented on case study on business of water explains about social responsibility
and ethics that should be followed in business. In case of water business there are two
dimensions. They are supply-side and demand side of water. Currently water became a political
issue and current issue forbusiness ethics. Water is a primary source for every human and it
became human right for every individual. If issue of water continues as same then this may
become an ethical business issue for future.

If we look into the issue of water between Karnataka and tamilnadu states for kaveri river water.
In locally we have many issues of water like kalasabanduri project, mahadayi project and
yethinahole project. These were the some of the issue that we are facing currently these may
become ethical business issue for upcoming days

The Ethics is also important to implement in sports and games. It is very much essential. Because
by listening to the next presentation they had explained to about the different cricket leagues that
different countries were playing like Indian Premier League, Pakistan Super League, Big-bash
Premier League etc. They had explained about different scams that had happened during
different leagues. The some of the scams that happened are spot fixing, Match fixing, Bill
tampering etc.

Australian ball-tampering Scandal

Indian Premier League fixings

Pakistan C5ricket Spot Fixing

Shakib Al Hassan banned from all forms of cricket.

Then they had explained about company that had involved in cricket. They are Ambuja cement,
Oppo Byjus Etc.
By looking into all these we can understand that implementation of the ethics is a primary factor
and adaptation of ethics is very important factor. it plays a very important role because the value
for whole ethics is plays under adopting the ethics. So ethics is very necessary for every aspect
which can make the purpose fully successful and provide high value creation.

Next team presented on the topic of globalization. In globalization they had taken a example of
MacDonald’s. They had introtroduced about the company. MacDonald’s is firstly they started as
a fast food restaurant. Now they are in top most level thanthat of any other restaurant business.

Then they had explained about positive impacts and negative impacts. In positive impacts means
what is happening within the economy. Another positive impact is technological factor. As a
new technology are continually being developed.

Next they explained about negative impact, which level of competitiveness of company in
particular market. By making right decision and right action.

The next team presentation on the topic of sustainability. Sustainability means the process or
state that can be maintaining for a long period or long term or for long fixed period of time. Then
they had explained regarding the different forms of sustainability. They are

Social Sustainability

Human sustainability

Economic Sustainability

Environmental Sustainability

Then they had explained about ITC Company and initiative taken by ITC Company. Some of the
program they had implemented are sustainable agriculture Programme, Water shed development
program, Aforestationprogramme etc. Then they had explained about driving force for ITC. They
are Carbon, Water and solid waste recycling and Impact of ITCs sustainability.

They had also explained sustainability of Indian Oil. Some of them werePromising safety,
Economic performance, giving back to society, Ethics and Human Rights Etc.

Next team presented on Decision making. Decision making plays a very important role. Because
every business or organization has to take a proper and necessary decisions and every decision
has a positive or negative impact. So while taking a decision a decision taker must focus on
every aspect. It may be on organizational view, employers view, stake holder’s view, economic
view and also keep view on society. So while taking decisions decision taker should take good
decision. While making decision it should be quick and best.

So here they did a presentation on Malya and showed a clear picture of his decision making and
reasons for his failures. They had explained about him and the business he is dealing with.

Malya was into business of airlines which is named as kingfisher airlines, He is into
liquorbusinesswhich is named as Kingfisher, he is also owner of Royal Challengers which is one
of the team of Indian Premier League.

While he was taking decision he is not followed a suggestionprovided by decision team. He

himself taken a decision withoutbothering the challenges faced in future days in his business.
While he introduces kingfisher red which had highly effected for him, because his customer
moved from kingfisher to kingfisher red? Because the facilities offered by both the airways are
similar but charges or ticket fair is high in kingfisher compared to kingfisher red.

So looking into Malays case while taking decision we have to take in different angles or different
views. We have to take the decision by looking into any others suggestion or we have to discuss
with expertise or with any knowledgeablepersons and want to make effective decisions and the
decision should be Ethical.

Business ethics is also known as a corporate ethics. It is a form of applied ethics or professional
ethics which examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business
environment.
