Argentina is a municipality in Colombia, in the

department
of Huila, located 153 km from the departmental capital,
Neiva.
The population dates back to 1870 but did not reach the
status of municipality until 1960.
Currently the municipality has 28 sidewalks, 10
neighborhoods and a population center.
This beautiful town is located at a distance of 350 km
from
Bogotá D.C., 120 km from Neiva, and 110 km from
Popayan Cauca
 ECONOMY
is based on crops like coffee, passion fruit, lulo,
pitahaya, peach, feijoa.

Recreational Farm, Spring Farm, Foot Washer, Gaitana
waterfall, Río Loro, Recreational Center, Culture House,

Sebastián Temple, Azufrada, Cumbre Cavern, and Regional.

LIMITS
It limits to the north with the Municipality of La Plata, to the south with the Municipalities
of Oporapa and Salado Blanco, to the east with the Municipalities of Tarqui, Pital and
Oporapa and to the west with the department of
Cauca.
 LA PLATA
Its foundation and conformation as a municipality
dates from June 5 th,
1651 by Captain Diego de Ospina y Maldonado,The
population is located between
mountainous territories where there are also some
flat or slightly undulating areas
where the orographic features of the Sierra Nevada
de los Coconucos, the
Serranías de las Minas and Yarumal and the Cerros
Cargachiquillo, Los
Coconucos, Pelado, stand out. Santa Rita and Zúñiga.
 ECONOMY
The main production systems are livestock, fish farming
(warm and cold), and pig farming. Agricultural
sector is mainly represented by: rice, coffee, banana,

cocoa, corn, sugarcane, beans, potato; and some fruit

trees such as lulo, tree tomato and blackberry.

TOURIST RESORTS
The main places of interest are the Purace Natural National
Park, the monolithic statuary of Moscopán, the
statuary of Aguabonita, the lagoon of San Rafael, the lagoon
of San Andrés, the river La Plata, the park Custodio
García Rovira, the park of La Pola.

limits by the North with the Department of Cauca, by the South with the Municipality
of Argentina, through the East with the municipalities of Paicol and Pital and by the West with the
Department of Cauca.
 NATAGA
located in the department of Huila, in the
province of Suboccidente, 120 km from Neiva,
the capital. was founded in 1530 by the
Spanish, Nátaga managed to reach the category
of municipality until January 4 th, 1967.Natagá is
part of the 37 municipalities that make up the
department of Huila. It is located in the south of
the department and 120 kilometers away from
Neiva,

agriculture predominates with coffee
crops and livestock with small farms
in its soils.

One of the most important place to
visit is Las Lajas waterfall.

LIMITS
It limits to the south with the
municipality of Paicol, to the west with the black river of Narváez, to the north with the
municipality of Iquira and to
the east with the municipality of Tesalia and Iguira
 PAICOL
The town was founded by Juan De Vargas y
Figueroa in 1701. Paicol is considered the
most beautiful Municipality in the
Department of Huila
In this municipality there is the temple which
was built in rough stone “Santa
Rosa de Lima Church”, built in 1870.

The Municipality of Tesalia is of

indigenous origin
descending from the Pijaos. Its
history dates from 1600,It was
founded in 1775.

LIMINTS
The municipality of Tesalia limits to the north with the
municipality of Iquira, to the south with Paicol, to
the west with the municipality of Nataga and to the east
