Just few months ago, there was an unexpected virus that occurred globally, and until
today it is still a challenge not just for the front -liners but also the people taking their risk in
fighting this Covid-19. As Filipino people, we are very religious and God-fearing people and half
of the country’s population are Roman Catholics. Moreover, the people are religious even in
their respective homes. When we arrived home my mother encouraged us to pray the holy rosary
every 9 in the evening when the Vatican announced that 9pm is the holy rosary which is the
Philippine time, my mother was desperate in praying the holy rosary and so the family started
praying and also for the good health of our front-liners. My spiritual aspect improved because I
learned a lot about the holy rosary and it helped me to develop my prayer life unto God.
However, I miss attending holy mass and even though the holy week was celebrated with the
virus, for our family the virus in not a hindrance for attending the Good Friday and Black
Saturday. We attended the mass and we were happy because we were complete and God has
given us this wonderful life. Lastly, this pandemic may bring us down but our spiritual aspect
will endure and it will give us a new life to start. The virus is not a hindrance for building a
church in our homes and start to reflect on the things that are happening to us right now.
