Laura Anthony​ - Laura says on her campaign website that her occupation is a

small business owner. She has a major emphasis on healthcare in her campaign.
On her home page she says there is no moderate stance on affordable housing but
under her issues she talks about black home ownership specifically.

Roderick Davis​ - Roderick sites on his facebook two different websites


roderickdavis.com and roderickdavis.org, neither of them exist. He ran for mayor
in 2015. He’s run for this seat before as well as 12th congressional district and city
council. His facebook says Roderick is “President of The Citizens of the United
States a non profit organization that provides help to all citizens. Roderick Davis is
also Director of The LGBT Citizen Helpers a non profit dedicated to helping LGBT
youth find housing. Roderick Davis is also the CEO and Chairman of The
American Royal Family”. In a story from the Observer when he was running for
mayor his top issues are Public Safety, Workforce Development, and Education.

Mujtaba Mohammed​ - He was elected to district 38 NC Senate in 2018. He was ​an


Assistant Public Defender in Charlotte. He is very focused on and heavily involved in
children’s/family rights advocacy, he cites groups such as ​North Carolina Council on
Developmental Disabilities, Council for Children’s Rights, Mecklenburg County Bar and
Larry King’s Clubhouse: Children’s Care Center.​ On his website under the issues tab
he has three main issues which are education, economy and equity. He does not say
affordable housing as a sub point of any of these issues.

DeAndrea Salvador​ is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Renewable


Energy Transition Initiative (RETI), a nonprofit that educates communities and
leaders about energy conservation. She was a 2018 TED Fellow. She studied
economics, with a minor in anthropology at UNCC. Elections officials Monday
rejected a residency appeal of Darrell Bonapart so DeAndrea is now running
uncontested in District 39. She doesn’t have any political websites or anything
published that’s specifically about her campaign.
