I am interested in applying for a first-grade teaching position in your school district. As a 2020
graduate of Arizona State University, I have student teaching experience in the first, second,
and third grade level, in both private and public schools. I believe my teaching experience along
with my passion for children and community involvement makes me an ideal candidate for a
teaching position at your school.

I have experience teaching elementary-level students in a variety of settings. I am currently

teaching first-grade children at an inner-city public school. Formerly, I worked in a charter
school geared towards children with English as their second language and taught a variety of
classes using my specialty. Your school emphasizes its unique position as a school that caters to
both inner-city and children of all cultures, so I think my varied experiences would make me an
asset to your program.

Your school also strives to engage students in the community around them. I have lots of
experience incorporating community service projects into my classroom. As a first-grade
teacher we visited a local butterfly sanctuary and learned all about the benefits of butterflies
and helped volunteer to clean up the garden for the butterflies. I love finding ways to include
service learning into my lesson plans as valuable learning experience.

I aim to combine my experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and

knowledgeable teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school district and
surrounding community. I would gladly welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at
