    Was a radical, a rebel, an atheist and an anarchist he rejected authorities of any kind (God, state), for him
    any kind of hierarchy is undesirable, unnecessary and harmful

    He eloped to Scotland in order to get married to a woman, he then fell in love with another girl (Mary
    Godwin, then Mary Shelley) and they eloped to Europe together

    He was considered an immoral figure

    Prophet of social change  he felt like he was a superior being, for him poets are the unacknowledged
    legislators of the world
