March 2019

The Legal Eagle Workbook

500 selected and originally hand crafted high probability

questions that are “Legal” in nature and have been
asked in previous year question papers for CLAT & DU
LLB . We’ll cover Legal Maxims, Legal Terms, Polity,
Legal current Affairs and the art of good legal
Reasoning.

Tailor Made for DU LLB & CLAT 2019

This practice set is also very useful for other law

entrance exams such as MHCET AILET etc but I have
created this mainly keeping DU LLB & CLAT UG in mind
as I know these two exams quite well.

Practice the questions from this workbook and

you will be nothing short of a legal eagle
before your exams and be ahead of all the
sparrows :)

Introduction
Hi, (Namaste again, if we are meeting again after the current affairs
workbook) My Name is Sahaj. The following is my work. I know you don’t
care about forewords and all that jazz and lengthy pages that nobody
reads at the start of each book, but please bear with me for 2 pages :)

I have NOT copied and pasted the following questions from anywhere
(except for previous year questions) all of it is crafted by me by using my
own intellect and after constantly analysing past year papers for trying to
give you only & only the relevant bits to study and practice instead of 3000
questions that can be copied and pasted to scare the living daylights out of
you. I would prefer that you rote learn AT LEAST everything that there is
on Polity contained herein.
A few questions are variations from the 1000 question bank on general
knowledge and current affairs & before you smile after looking at the
question that you know this one, I know you will know that one if you have
practiced well enough from that PDF. :)

Also, this document does NOT cover every & all instance of all legal
maxims and all legal reasoning but only the ones I find highly probable of
making it to DU LLB & CLAT. Neither does this document claim to be the
only “one” document that you can rely on. Nope, not at all. This is akin to a
catalyst. There are subliminal undertones to the options and my main
purpose is to firstly get you to think straight and understand the concept
behind the maxim. By the time you are done, you will yourself know how
to tackle everything legal that is about to rain on your parade in the
upcoming exams.Check the explanation section; the core of this workbook.

Note to other authors & teachers & whoever - Please TRY not to copy. I
MAY not sue you but at least respect the copy right of this work. If you do
decide to use this - Please provide a credit , that is all. :)

This is a competitive exam, you are fighting for seats. I know sharing is
caring but then you paid for getting an edge so that you can grab a seat as
in competitive exams as you want to Rank higher than others. And if in
competitive exams you are sharing your fuel, well your car may just end up
like a F-16 across the LOC.

However, if you do decide to forward this to your friends - which I am sure

you will do, could you….Yes You - the friend who got this for free, donate
some food to an extremely poor person in exchange for this free beneficial
work? I will consider it as a small payment.
Alternatively you can pay me any amount/ Rs 270 (the price of this PDF) at
https://www.instamojo.com/@sahajaroratloi
Or with UPI to sahaj.arora@icici OR sahajdas@okaxis (Google Pay) as
I need to run a kitchen too :) and countless hours have gone into crafting
this.
Many thanks! and please read on just one more page for me talking to you
before we start. A brief introduction for the sake of brevity.

Please take a print out of this document from the university area of your
town as it is cheaper, and get it bound into a spiral. That is the preferential
way to use this workbook as otherwise the PDF will remain on the phone
and you will end up pinching the screen while zooming in & out. And skip
printing this intro. I have reformatted this workbook to reduce the pages
and save you printing costs in comparison to the current affairs workbook.

And please write the full answer down instead of tick marks or just writing
(A) or (B) as that will help you remember. I have intentionally made an
elaborate answer key and not just mentioned the options there because in
my experience, that leads to a mistake sometimes thanks to errors in
spotting the answer while coming back to the question to refer.

The Legal Eagle Follow up

This was not planned and was (parallelism) never
announced when you bought this PDF. We at TLOI
academy have a habit of surprises and going the extra
mile for those of us who put in some faith in us :)

The error list —

Some of these may be already rectified in your version of the file, depending on the
purchase date. So ignore, if the correct answer is already given, if not, note down
the rectification -

Q219) - Correct Answer - A) Nanavati Commission
Q266) - Correct Answer - 3) The Government of India Act, 1919
Q29) - Correct Answer - 1st Amendment
Q493) - Correct Answer - C) What is Sonia’s & Himanshi’s interest in the case for
them to have a right of to appear and be heard before that particular court.
Q494) - Correct Answer - D) The judge will check from a source outside the will for
eg any other supporting document.
Q487) - Correct Answer - D) Since Prem is formally accused now, he cannot be
compelled to take the test, unless and until the Supreme court orders it with his
consent.

Q496) Correct Answer - D) A valid contract must be made by someone who is of a
sound mind.

Q228) In which year, the age of voting was lowered from 21 to 18 years - the official
amendment = 61st Amendment 1988, but seems it was passed in 1989, since
ambiguity is there - if the question comes —- it will be on the 61st amendment -
Ratto it.

Some questions in here are from the legal current affairs of the March Follow Up as
the main file of Legal Eagle was released on 9th March, and those didn’t make it to
the main file. For those with the observer, consider them revision, and a test instead
of cribbing “same question”. It is a new question for the ones exclusively with Legal
Eagle. Usual Caveat - these questions in addition to the 500 are — the ones I would
want on my fingerprints, if I were taking the exam.

So it seems, the right to vote is a legal right even as per J Chalemshwar, and this is the
basis on which CLAT loves to answer this question as a legal right. So there it is, Right to
Vote = legal right, although I can personally argue it is a constitutional right, but I am
not concerned with being right. I want you to score marks, what does debt fetch us

TLOI ACADEMY SAHAJ ARORA

Hi there,
• This is the exclusive hots file for Legal Eagle
• Questions will repeat from V1 as it was common to both workbooks.
• More repetition = more memory muscle = more marks
• All answers are in the mail file and the follow up.
• If you don’t remember a particular question, don’t worry and don’t let it lower
your confidence. It is designed so that you don’t answer, easily, at least. If you
are answering easily, that is great news. Mark the ones you don’t know.
• There is no answer key. The answers are already there in the files you already
have. You can Control+F the term and find the answer in the main file & the
follow up. If everything else fails, you can ask Kaliyug Ka Devta, I mean Google
Babaji.
• All instructions from V1 - go here, no point in repeating them here.
• The point of this exercise - is to get to make your notes yourself. When your
mind is applied and you write down answers after looking for them - you will
remember. For us on youtube it is very easy to make videos, edit and pretend
we know it all. You can watch 10,000 videos and exams won’t get cleared, till the
time YOU YOURSELF sit and go through the grind.
• So bhaag milkha bhaag at Leh, eh? It is time.
