Job Title Design Manager

Team Building Services - MEP

Reporting to Regional Director

Based in Pune

Candidate Profile

The following information details the requirements of anDesign Manager/Directorwith t2o engineers Pune office;

The Design Manager/Directorwill be a qualified professional who must have a minimum qualification of a
Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Engineering (BEng/MEng), Membership of a recognised professional body (CIBSE,
IET or ASHRAE) and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a design consultancy environment.


• Experienced technical and project leader; track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within
the industry.
• Mentoring and leading others, developing individual’s skills, whilst encouraging collaboration and
cohesive teamwork.
• Overseas project experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BEng) or Masters Degree in Engineering (MEng)


Membership of a recognised professional body (CIBSE, IET or ASHRAE)

Responsibilities and Accountability

Main Accountabilities

 Ensuring project deliverable targets and other agreed targets are met in all departments
 Reviewing working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative
 Working with discipline leads heads and senior engineers to get the best performance from staff
 Undertake project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects.
• Co-ordinate with Oman/UAE/UK team for project delivery.
 Contribute to group initiatives with respect to technical development /market sectors and processes.
 To developing and maintain the Project Design Team work programme in sucha way as to ensure the
most economic and effective use of resources and thecompletion of design projects in line with target
timescales.
 To work closely with the Project Delivery Team to ensure the team are co-operating effectivelytogether at
all times and that overall project targets are being achieved.
 To commission specialist design, survey and engineering services whichcannot be delivered from within
the Project Design Team
 To encourage, facilitate and support best practice and standardisation withinthe team, providing its
members with opportunities for Continuous Professional Development (CEng).
