Enable cheats
Original
For the original CD version, using a text editor
open the file Baldur.ini in your Baldur’s
Gate installation directory and add a new line
Cheats=1 under the [Game Options]
entry. Then save and close the file and run the
game.
To open the console press Ctrl+Tab.
Enhanced Edition
For the Enhanced Edition (like the one
installed via Steam), locate the folder
Documents > Baldur’s Gate –
Enhanced Edition which may or may not
be within your OneDrive, depending on how
your computer is set up. Using a text editor,
open the file Baldur.lua. Add the line
SetPrivateProfileString('Program
Options','Debug Mode','1') then save
and close the file and run the game.
To open the console press Ctrl+Spacebar.
Console commands
In older, standalone (CD-ROM) versions of
Baldur’s Gate you need to prefix cheat codes
with CLUAConsole:. In the newer Enhanced
Edition (either standalone or installed via
Steam) this has been replaced with a simple
C:.

Set experience points of all party members to
indicated value
Add Gold
C:AddGold("1000000")
This will add one million gold coins to your
wallet.

 Ctrl+1: change paper doll armour type
 Ctrl+2: darken screen
 Ctrl+3: lighten screen
 Ctrl+4: show interactable objects
 Ctrl+6: change to previous paper doll
 Ctrl+7: change to next paper doll
 Ctrl+8: shows text boxes
 Ctrl+9: shows sprites
 Ctrl+A: animate sprite
 Ctrl+B: shows last FMV clip
 Ctrl+C: got to next chapter
 Ctrl+D: debug dump
 Ctrl+F: turns to character
 Ctrl+J: jump to space under cursor
 Ctrl+L: shows coordinates under

 Ctrl+R: heals character under cursor
