Reminder Tips for Making Effective PowerPoint Presentations:

1.   Carefully Compose Your Slides
·         Don’t copy and paste slides from different sources.
·         Use a basic template or make your own.
·         Carefully select font type & sizes for headers and text. Use them consistently.
·         Do not overcrowd your slide.

2.       KISS - Keep It Straight and Simple
·         Keywords only on your slides.
·         Absolutely no full sentences!
·         And never read your slides, talk freely.
·         Remember that your slides are only there to support, not to replace your talk!
3.   Images
·         Have more images in your slides than text.
·         Use good quality images that reinforce and complement your message.
·         Ensure the image maintains its impact and resolution when projected on a larger screen.

 4.   Keep Your Audience in Mind
·         What will be interesting to them?
·         What can I teach them?

5.       Practice Your Presentation Like a Professional
·         Know your slides inside out.
·         Speak freely.
·         Speak with confidence—loud and clear.
·         Speak at a steady pace.
·         Keep eye contact with your audience.
·         Do not speak to your slides - face the direction of your audience.
