Company profile

The Phillips Company was founded in 1891 by Gerard Phillips and his father, Frederick Phillips.
Frederick, a banker from Zaltbomlev, financed the purchase and setup of an empty factory
building in Idahoven, where the company began manufacturing carbon-filament lamps and other
electronic-technological products in 1892. This is the first factory to be adapted since then and is
used as a museum.

Philips is organized into three main divisions: Philips Consumer Health, Well-being (formerly
Philips Consumer Electronics and Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care) and Philips
Professional Healthcare (formerly Philips Medical Systems). The lighting division was spun off
as a separate company, Signify N.V. (formerly Philips Lighting prior to 2018). The company
started making electric shavers in 1939 under the brand, and post-war they developed the
compact cassette format and co-developed the Compact Disc format with sony, as well as
numerous other technologies. As of 2012 Philips was the largest manufacturer of lighting in the
world as measured by applicable revenues.

Philips Lighting Egypt is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt and serves the entire Northeast.

The use of energy efficient solutions will significantly reduce energy consumption worldwide

Executive Summary

Philips Bulb is recognized as a leading bulb provider, facing direct competition from Energy
Bulb, Led Bulb and ecofriendly bulb. Philips Bulb will position itself in the same category.

powers. It is an ecofriendly bulb with stylish design. It is real strength is the ability to display
temperatures of white in addition to providing a perfect complement to everyone’s less-than-
perfect lighting power, each Philips bulb variety has a unique combination of sharp lighting and
ability to control the light, to deliver a specific benefit to get you throughout your day. Philips

Philips LED lighting is the most profitable product on the market, with sales exceeding 63
percent in 2012 and 2011, as the company continues its dominant position in recent years,
despite significant market growth. The company further strengthened its leadership position by
launching a cost reduction program. Philips Electronics India Limited is the winner of the Frost
& Sullivan Market Leadership Award for Indian LEDs for a total share of 1% in the LED
lighting market in 2012.
Introducing The product:

The new product is Philips Bulb. This is a LED but not ordinary electric bulb. This bulb contains
maximum types of elements that an eco-friendly bulb needs.
There are three types of Philips bulb. One Hue “White and Color” which can display different
colors, but its real strength is the ability to display temperatures of white and Hue White
Ambiance. It doesn’t allow you to change to different colors, but it does change temperatures
from a warm soft white to a bright day light. Its price point also sits comfortably

And another one is Hue White and Color PAR16 so it’s meant to be used in light fixtures that
provide directional lighting, as opposed to regular lamps or ceiling light fixtures.
