HISTORY CHAPARRAL

Chaparral was founded on January 6, 1586, by Diego de Bocanegra,

Chaparral, is a colombian municipality located to the south of
the department of Tolima, approximately 163 km from the
capital tolimense, Ibagué, and approximately 250 km from the
Capital District, Bogotá. Its name is due to the large number of
plants that receive the name of Chaparral where it is the
municipality.
