Peach Tree

Size and shape

It is a small tree that can grow up to 4 to 10 meters tall. It has a thin and grey trunk and long
green leaves. This tree has the shape of a bush and has white and pink flowers.

Nutrition

The peach offers a lot of nutrients to our body. It has vitamin A, vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6, vitamin
C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium and Zinc.

Flowers and fruits

This tree has flowers that vary in color from white to pink. Each flower has 5 petals, 5 sepals,
stamens and a pistil. The peach fruit is a single oval seed about 2 cm long surrounded by juicy
and sweet flesh. This fruit has an orange and yellow color with red tints.

Habitat

The peach tree is a tree adapted to temperate climate ecosystems. This tree is frost tolerant and
requires cold weather to develop. It is cultivated in Southern Europe, France, Italy, Greece,
South America, North America, Africa and Asia.

Reproduction

Peach trees use flowers to aid in reproduction. In each flower, there are both male and female
reproductive parts. Attracted to these flowers, insects carry pollen from the male anthers to the
female pistil. When this occurs, the flower begins to pollinate.
