f come to Kuala Lumpur incomplete if you never
came visiting one of the new attraction that is pret-
ty popular in Menara Kuala Lumpur namely Kuala
Lumpur Upside Down House which recently opened
its doors in June 2016. Locally it is also called Rumah
Terbalik KL in Bahasa Malaysia. KL Upside Down
House is first in Kuala Lumpur and the highest in Ma-
laysia with height 2 floor building. House designed
with real size and all upside down. House concept
“Cottage House” can attract tourists’ interest wheth-
er from within country and overseas to pictorial. All
structures in and out house from roof until floor, fur-
niture and equipment that there is upside down con-
dition. Apart from that, almost 80% building structure
made of iron and remainder other building material.
Uniqueness, all the tourists who attend will be cele-
brated through a unique gate, which is located An An-
tique Car “Morris 1974” fitted inversely and becomes
a new experience for visitors before enters the house
upside down. Inside the house, there are a few room
which is has a living room, Master Bedroom Living
Room, Bedroom Baby Room, Dining Room, Kitchen,
bathroom, toilet and attic mounted upside down and
give a charming experience to all who attend the tour.
Generally the KL Upside Down House is
actually a house that has been constructed upside
down, with everything inside you guessed it, up-
side down. This gimmick has been the rave of lo-
cals and also tourist visiting Malaysia in the last
three to few years where there have been many at-
tractions like this mushrooming all over Malaysia
and nally, Kuala Lumpur having a piece of the cake.
The first upside down house was constructed in Tu-
aran, Sabah in 2012 followed by one in Penang,
one in Melaka and also the recent Upside Down
Gallery in PD or Port Dickson. As for those men-
tioned in this list. only the Upside Down House
in Sabah resembles an actual house while the oth-
ers are all located in shop lots, which is not up to
quality tourism standards. I am guessing that those
were done cheaply therefore the owners did it in
a shop lot versus building an actual house on land.
Anyway, the latest upside down house in
KL claims to be the first in Kuala Lumpur and the
tallest Upside Down House in Malaysia? Serious-
ly, the tallest in Malaysia? No offense but why
even bother to claim such a title like that, because
if you have a good tourism product, it should sell
by itself, not by strange accolades. A weird exam-
ple is like saying that Kuala Lumpur has the Tall-
est Museum in Malaysia... isn’t that totally weird?
This new attraction in KL is suitable for just
about anyone - locals, tourist, families with kids and
even couples as the plus point of this is that it is a fun
attraction. Meaning, you go there, take lots of photos
outside and then inside and you are done. In total, you
simply need about an hour at most to complete the
attraction before moving on to possibly the KL Tow-

How to go to the KL Upside Down House

The Perdana Botanical Garden, formerly
known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Lake Gardens, is
situated in the Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur. It has
always been a part of the green lung of the city and has
a history of ever a decade. Originally created as part
of a recreational park but planted with collections of
tropical plants, the garden have been rehabilitated and
turned into a Botanical Garden. The garden have not
only botanical collections but also house features that
give the visitors the ambiance of being in a tropical
rainforest, despite being in the middle of a bustling
metropolis.
There are a number of other new attractions
found around the Perdana Botanical Garden which are
of course, Sunken Garden, Hibiscus Garden, Orchid
Garden, Laman Perdana, Forest Tree Collection, Zin-
giberales & Heliconia Collection, Exotic Species Col-
lection, Lesser Fruit Tree Collection, Cycad Island,
Herb & Spice Garden, Brownea Street, and Deer Park.
This place is suitable for event likes family
gathering, birthday party celebration, wedding cere-
mony and others. There is a charge for renting this
place. People can contact the office to know about fur-
ther information.
T he Perdana Botanical Garden is strategically lo-
cated in the City of Kuala Lumpur. Formally the
Lake Gardens, built in 1888 by A.R.Venning, the state
treasurer of Selangor then. In 1975, the late Tun Hj.
Abdul Razak, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia
officially launched the new image of the Lake Gar-
dens, renaming it the Taman Tasik Perdana, or the
Perdana Lake Gardens. Being a public park, the main
activities were concentrated on the jogging paths and
exercise facilities along the way. On occasions such as
this launch in 1975, fishing competitions were held.
Concerts were also held at the amphitheatre, the Pang-
gung Anniversary.
On 28th June 2011, the Prime Minister YAB
Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib bin Tun Hj. Abdul Razak
launched Perdana Botanical Garden. This marked the
completion of the first phase of the process of turning
the Public Park into a Botanical Garden.
The first Phase involved the rehabilitation of
the main core of the Garden and the addition of vari-
ous collections and features. The garden is unique in
that it has the elements of a show garden, the ambiance
of a tropical rainforest, and the serenity of a getaway
place despite being in the middle of a metropolis.
The second phase of the transformation will
bring in the necessary elements of a Botanical Garden
that is the Herbarium, the Library and Visitor Center.
Other areas such as the Orchid Garden and the Hibis-
cus Garden will be enhanced and rehabilitated as well.
Getting Here
The Perdana Botanical Garden is situated with-
in the Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park, which covers
an area of more than 170 acres located in the heart of
Kuala Lumpur. Getting there is easy by taking public
busses or taxis from any location in the city.
Bus
The garden is located along Jalan Perdana. It is locat-
ed near the National Museum of Malaysia.
The nearest public transportation hub within walking
distance is Kuala Lumpur Sentral railway station. An-
other option is to take the RapidKL bus B112 from
Pasar Seni LRT station. This will drop you at the Na-
tional Museum which is at the edge of the park.
Taxi
Budget taxis are identified with their red and white co-
lours. There’s an initial charge of RM3 for the first km
of your travel. Thereafter, the rate is RM1 for every
km. There are also various small surcharges like radio
call (RM2) and baggage (RM1 per piece), among oth-
ers. Midnight surcharge is applicable on pickups from
00:01-05:59. This surcharge means meter prices are
increased by 50% (e.g. at 01:00, if the meter shows
RM12, you should pay RM12+6). Places like KLIA,
LCCT, KL Sentral, Menara KL and Sunway Pyramid
Mall enforce a prepaid coupon system, which general-
ly work out more expensive than using the meter, but
cheaper than bargaining. Taxis from Pavilion Shop-
ping Mall’s taxi counter cost the meter with a RM2
surcharge.
Sunken Garden
The parterre garden in the Lake Gardens is a
fairly new addition. The site taken was once a chil-
dren’s playground bordered behind by a row of Juni-
perus chinensis. Now the circular garden is growing in
a sunken area surrounded by pergolas, which support
the climber Bauhinia kockiana. This hardy climber is
also a scrambler, tamed from the jungle to be grown
in home gardens. It is free flowering and the orange
flowers brighten up the gardens just as it gives the jun-
gle its burst of colour.
The parterre consists of low shrubs of Acalypha si-
amensis, Loropetalum chinense and Zephyranthes.
In the centre of the circular garden is a star-shaped
fountain, and dotted around this garden are white Gre-
cian containers carrying flowering annuals.
Laman Perdana
In the middle of the main gardens, where the three
main roads coming from the three entrances meet,
there is a square where events and activities were car-
ried out. It is a central area and located close to the
boathouse and with ample space, it is a perfect area for
gatherings.This is the Laman Perdana.
The rehabilitation efforts have transformed the square into an area for majestic trees. Adansonias
and Moringas, planted as mature trees gave quite a surreal feel to the area. One can imagine be-
ing transpor ted to the land in Africa where they came from
Herb & Spice Garden
The Herb & Spice Garden Garden in the Lake Gardens must have been part of the gardens with-
in the Conservatory and nursery area, as it was here that a glass house was originally situated.
Despite the screening that kept it quite hidden from the public eye, it has quite a prominent
entrance and one would not miss the signage, walking along the road. Entering the garden one
would be greeted by the sight of a large pergola heaped up with the creeper Kesidang (Vallaris
glabra).
Flanking this central pergola are smaller pergolas covered with the beautiful creeper, Beaumon-
tia grandiflora. When in flower, the large white blooms, in clusters are really impressive. One
might wonder what herbal use these ornamental creepers have but I believe they are there to
provide the aesthetic quality to the garden, which otherwise would be mainly green.
 I-CITY SHAH ALAM
i-City is a 72 acre ICT-based urban development beside the Federal Highway in Section 7, Shah Alam, Selan-
gor, Malaysia. Planned by architect Jon A. Jerde,[1] i-City was designed as a fully integrated intelligent city,
comprising corporate, leisure and residential components such as a 1 million sq. ft. regional shopping mall,
office towers, Cybercentre office suites, hotels, apartments, data centers, and an innovation center.

If you live in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor, do not have to go to Taiping Perak or Penang Two Rivers to enjoy the
prawns. You just have to go to Kuala Selangor and just look for Restaurant “Mee Udang Banjir Kuala Selan-
gor” to dine.It is not difficult to find this restaurant as it is located right at the main road near the Kuala Selangor
District Mosque.

A bowl of five pork prawns is priced at RM13 and a bowl of tiger prawns is only RM8. It also tastes good. In
addition to shrimp noodle, this restaurant also serves other menu such “mee goreng udang, nasi goreng udang,
char kuey tiaw, sup ekor, sup ayam kampung” and others. All at reasonable prices.

The special menu here is Mee Udang Banjir which is you can choose ordinary shrimp or giant prawns. There
are five tails prawn in each menu. The sauce is very thick. Sour taste, salty, spicy are all complete. Just nice
white people said.

You will also not have trouble putting a vehicle because the restaurant has a spacious and free parking place.
Here are also available “surau” for muslims. So, for those who come from far, there are no concerns for prayer.
“Surau” is comfortable and can accommodate about 8 - 10 people at a time. The restaurant has also been visited
by the crew on the Find TV3 Dining Find.So, this restaurant is the best restaurant for “mee udang” fans. -The

ment Science University (MSU) in PR Public Rela-

cessfully after two and half year in diploma study. She
has done her practical D’Songket Company which is
base at Segamat. This company is one of the bis com-
pany and it has divides into a few parts which is brid-
al, wedding card, hijab and others.
Farah has been asked by her father to think
about the future. He father wants she to do some-
thing after she done her diploma. And, she decides to
open a boutique that provide her new design. She has
success in opening her boutique namely as Farah Ex-
clusive Boutique. Her first design has copied by the
other company. Farah feels so disappointed but she is

Is Farah coming from business family?
Firstly, Farah’s father had a business where he had
produced his own book, dictionary, language dictio-
nary, and a tuition centre for primary and secondary
students. Her father has involved in business since
young. So, she definitely comes from business family.
What is the new design for Farah Exclusive Bou-
tique?
Farah Exclusive has produce its own designs where
customers can put their own name at the end of the lid
using ordinary stone or Swarovski original stone. In
addition, customers can design according to their own
colour and taste. The next design is diamond around
the lid and the price is quite affordable and this lid is
also quite limited. For the next design, the design is
the printed hijab and will be launch during her bou-
tique anniversary.
What is Farah Boutique Exclusive social media?
Farah has attends a 2-course course for business to
strengthen her marketing and knowledge. Firstly, on-
line marketing Facebook which is a personal coaching
where Farah learns from D’Songket boss. He taught
a lot about FB Ads and online marketing. The second
one is in College of Public Works under MDEC You
Can Do It, teaching tips, editing, making money by
per click and advertising. She learns a lot from these
two courses.

Can you share the ups and downs of company?
Alhamdulillah, there is nothing big happen during this
business. But, there was a sad thing happening in this
boutique before Hari Raya Aidilfitri Fashion Show
about 2 weeks before fasting. Her boutique has been
robbed. The thief has stolen our latest design scarf that
would be launching on the upcoming Fashion Show.
So, we had been hectic to make a new scarf before the
Fashion Show.
Fashion Show has involved 6 models to wear our hi-
jab collection. This Fsahion Show was launched by
YB Syida, Parliamentary Division of Buloh Kasap,
Segamat and accompanied by YB Anuar Manap, Dun
Sekijang’s wife. The journey was smooth and we also
had a promotion for a collection of our boutiques.
We can see more customers know about out branding
and they can also know our boutique position, as our
boutique are slightly hidden from the main road. We
also distribute flyers, free gifts and lucky draws for the
customers.
What are you plan for the future?
I’m looking for an agent for every district and state.
So far there are a few of the closest agents and also in
Sabah. We want to introduce more deeply about this
brand. We also plan to open other branch to expand
our business. We will see how far it can go.
Tips for new entrepreneurs
Firstly, we need to prepare mentally and physically to
be strong in whatever situation. Every business must
have ups and down. We need to manage the finance
kindly to success in business. I want to share my
experience, last year we went to Ramadhan bazaar,
I had over budget to buy cloth. I noticed this thing
when I had time to pay the gods to see the money I
did not want to spend thousands to buy cloth. I feel
so down. But, I was lucky to have a support by my
parents when I was hard. My mom told me to con-
tinue to open the booth during Ramadhan to see the
sales. The sale going well. So, production continues
to operate which starts to issue a new design. Alham-
dulillah, a 90% can be sold throughout the month of
Ramadan.
The second tip is not easy to give up. What we be-
lieve we must can do it. You can get an advice from
other person to success in business.

painter. I have been in this field from 2000 until now
2017. That led me involved in this field are of interest
and helpful people. I was originally an expert in black
and white and at that time I took 5 to 7 years to study
in this field as well as how to become an entrepre-
neur. After that, I worked under the people for almost
10 years to learn and make the experience. And after
10 years I confident and courageous to open my own
business services.

Why Central Market?

Central Market is a platform for art lovers in Malay-
sia and it is also a popular destination for tourist. It is
the perfect place to expose art to art lovers and people
also. At the beginning of the business, the problems
faced by the teaching and learning of a person. I start-
ed with a black and white painting and followed by
a pastel color. I started with a black and white paint-
ing and followed by a pastel color. But right now, I’m
proficient in specialist color and oil painting. Prices
depend on size and a lot of people say that it’s a pastel
color cheaper compared with oil paint.The cheapest
color pastel starting from RM200 for A3 size while
the oil paint starting from RM800.
Throughout the portrait painting, there are
many things that need to be considered as art because
the person’s reservation is very important and we
should make sure the painting is well-prepared. Not
only will our paintings be compared to other people’s
paintings. But I have a way of solving the problem
myself, which I will ask for the duration of the paint-
ing upgrade or as long as the customer is not satisfied
what I do I will return the deposit given to customer
satisfaction. Customer is more important than every-
thing. That’s one way I can survive until now.

The competition is crowded but we are positive. As
long as we try our best we will have their own suste-
nance, that’s what’s fun. in this world of competition
will bring success.
Usually how long it ready for painting?
The period depends on demand, if customers want to
quickly make a quick but we will set the duration, pas-
tel paintings for the fastest 3 hours and at least 2 un-
til 3 weeks depending on the material and how many
people in the painting. Basically, duration of us will
talk to the customer for 3 days until a week or even
one day sooner. For tourist who are in a hurry so we
make it fast. Sometimes it can be prepared 3 hours or
1hour is dependent on size. If the oil paints still take
time 2 hours a week until a month.

Before that, I have 2 till 3 workers, but I see they have
the potential to open their own business. I cannot stop
at all if they want to stop and open their own business.
And I also like them before, were experience by work-
ing with people. So now I’m prefer to work lonely.
The highest sales?
Not many, the most expensive I have sold as high as
RM12k and more to oil painting. But not always. This
kind of business is always the one to make a reser-
vation. Actually, oil painting is more expensive. Oil
painting market sales are more potential.

A zizi Musa is 22 years old and he is from Ampang Selangor. He studied at KPTM Ipoh in Diploma In Mul-
timedia. I really like new things and photography. It is because photography is my passion. He has been
involved in this photography for almost 2 years. I am start doing this photography during study. Now, I am a full-
time photographer for portrait photography and wedding.

What is the interest in photography?

Firstly, the interest comes after looking at my friends’ pictures and I’m looking forward to explore this field. Start-
ing from that, I started to involve in this photography, because I start feel happy. I can travel anywhere to capture
the moments. I learn a lot in photography during travel. I taking the picture as a memory for myself and every
single photo have his story for me. This picture can express to painting. Painting is also one of my hobbies before
I am in photography. But it does not mean that photography makes me forget to stay on the world of painting, not
at all.
 Gadget
Actually, what the types of camera is not important
but the skill is important. The skill can always be
sharpened if we love it. Now, I use Canon 5D Mark
II but sometimes I also use iPhone 7 only. Not all the
pictures I captured are using a camera. It depends on
the individual. I still can get a good photo by using a
phone only. The important thing is a skill.
Competittion?
So far, I have never entered any exhibition but I al-
ways join a insta meet. Insta meet is a day where all
instagrammers gather together to take photos crowd-
ed. From this insta meet I get many friends who are
interested in the photoghraphy too. My achieve-
ment in photography is I’ve been in local magazine,
Massesmy and newspaper.

Social media
A photographer always likes Instagram because it is a
platform that can share a picture together with other
people. It also a platform to spread my artwork quick-
ly. My idols also consist of Instagramers. Instagram
also make me to get know many people and it also
connects people. Then, Instagram also help me to start
making money for product shoot, portrait, and wed-
ding shoot. When I had a little experience, I started to
try other things like shoot a private event. He uses all
the opportunity that he got. My idols in Instagram is
Syafiqanaksaleh, Yik Keat, and Antonio Jeggie.
Photography Style?
I love urban, architecture, portrait, nightlife and street.
But I’m most interested in the streets because of the
wide street. One more thing, I love shoot foreigner
because I’m looking for somebody else. And this is
probably my identity for people to get know me.
Many people shoot portraits near Malaysia, so I want
to make a Foreigner shoot. I can make friends and
also learn new things from their country. I have been
shooting models from Ukraine, Iran, Russia, the Neth-
erlands and the Czech Republic in Europe.
For photography, I would rather shoot by myself with-
out a friend. But different in shoot nature or urban, I
will prefer for street crowds. I like to explore a new
place with lots of people who are just as inconvenient
as what they cannot see. So, we can share the idea
from there
.
For the start of the wedding shoot I started to shoot
people that I know likes friends and close relatives.
Then, I post the picture on Instagram myself. When
people see the pictures, people will know me. So, I
learn more about wedding photography.
