3. Recognize that sense organs are made of cells sensitive to only one kind of
stimulus.
Previous Knowledge: Students are familiar with the osmosis, diffusion and active
transport.
Summary of Content:
Skin is the soft outer covering of vertebrates. Other animal coverings such as the
arthropod exoskeleton or the seashell have different developmental origin, structure and
chemical composition. The adjective cutaneous means "of the skin". In mammals, the
skin is the largest organ of the integumentary system made up of multiple layers of
ectodermal tissue, and guards the underlying muscles, bones, ligaments and internal
organs. Skin of a different nature exists in amphibians, reptiles, and birds. All mammals
have some hair on their skin, even marine mammals which appear to be hairless.
Procedure:

Evaluation:
Teacher: The class went according to plan. I employed direct questioning and so
students were allowed to tell about what they knew. The lesson was delivered and
received well.
Student: Students were excited and interested in the lesson and all participated.
Lesson: The lesson was good students were allowed to ask questions and were motivated
to learn.
