safely balance on a 4ft-odd pair of rails. Taller
buildings will definitely need to tilt into the curves.

You'd need special building rail.

I think it could avoid traffic problems.

//special building rail// Ah, good thinking. Otherwise

Radical idea. The building should probably be made of

lightweight alloy rather than bricks. If you think of
what activities Humans spend most of their time doing,
perhaps the best way to start would be a snack bar.
Then you could add on to that a restaurant, with tables
and seats for the diners to sit and eat their food.
Perhaps the next most obvious building to add on would
be a lounge, where people could sit in comfy chairs and
read a book or check their phones.

In that case, the first requirement is for sleeping

accommodation, and the second for bathroom
facilities; then an area in which to consume food and
drink.

Surely all those needs are met by a La-Z-Boy recliner?

—MaxwellBuchanan, Jan 30 2020

For many students, unfortunately that is entirely

correct.

So, you propose to relieve traffic congestion - by

shuffling entire buildings around?

Are there no inherent problems with this idea that

come to mind if you reflect on it a little?
—BunsenHoneydew, Feb 04 2020

To be fair, there's no promise here to *relieve*

congestion - only to improve it with extra
disorientation and claustrophobia.
—pertinax, Feb 04 2020

I think that's a fair ambition - if you can't relieve

congestion, make the congestion more entertaining
—hippo, Feb 04 2020

Yes, except TfL already own the IP on "disorientation

and claustrophobia", although there's no mention of
induced enochlophobia, unpleasant biological odours,
or enhanced transmission of infectious diseases or
parasites.
