I understand that you are seeking a licensed social worker. I am interested in this position
because it would help me accomplish my career goals, as well as give me an opportunity to
make a difference within the district.

I am currently attending the University of Texas at El Paso and will be graduating in 2022 with
a Bachelor of Social Work degree. Afterwards, I will be attending graduate school to complete
my Master of Social Work. Upon completion, I will be applying for a license to become a
licensed social worker.

As you will see on my résumé, I have volunteered as a childcare assistant in San Antonio, TX,
where I supervised children, ages 1-12, and established a safe environment for their well-being.
I have also volunteered as a peer leader at a vacation bible school here in El Paso, TX. As a peer
leader, I supervised groups of children, ages 3-12, and guided them through activities while
resolving emotional conflict among younger children, which resulted in a positive experience
for them. I am also fluent in written and oral English and Spanish and am currently taking a
class to refine my Spanish composition skills.
