Answer: Sri Lanka has experienced three wars. The first one lasted
one year, the second one lasted 17 years. The last war lasted 3
years.
 According to the Polity index, what is the evolution of Sri
Lanka´s political regime?

Answer: Sir Lanka had a stable democracy from the years 1948 to 1982. However, since war
has affected the country, Sir Lanka has been transforming into an anocracy, which means that
the democracy has strong tones of a dictatorship.
