Analyzer Components
• Moisture sensor: Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM)
Quartz crystal that has been coated with proprietary hygroscopic coating. The
coating absorb moisture from a sample gas stream changing the mass of the
coating. Changes in mass are detected as changes in natural resonance frequency
of the oscillator
• Dryer: to dry reference gas to less than 0.025 ppmv
Replace periodically ~ 1 year

• Moisture generator: a device capable of generating a known precise

moisture level.
Typically 50 ppmV.
Used for analyzer’s proper operation verification & calibration
Operation
• Allowable inlet pressure: 1.3 – 3.3 Bar (20 – 50 psi) gauge
• Exhaust pressure: 0 – 1 Bar (0 – 15 psi) gauge
• Sample gas temperature: 0 – 100°C (32° – 212°F)
• Sample gas flow: approximately 150 sccm
• Ambient analyzer temperature limits: 5° – 50°C (41° – 122°F)
• Voltage/Power: 230 ±10% VAC, 50/60 Hz, 150 W max.

› Start Up
• Purged sample line with ultra high purity nitrogen, set pressure @20 psig
• Turn on power source
• Set sample pressure 25 psig (20 – 50 psig)
• Let analyzer warm up and stabilized (estimate time : 2 hours)
• Working sensor temperature approximately 60°F
