Major contributions to feminist theory

Wolf has made a significant contribution to feminism by publishing a different book such

as The Beauty Myth, which was her first book and also the best seller internationally. She also

power and how it will change the 21 century. She followed with another book, “The secret

Naomi Wolf, in her book “Fire With Fire.”She describes the new female power and how

it is going to change the 21st Century. From her view, women are victimized by gender

inequality, and they are viewed as powerless. The female has minimal contribution to political

power, and she argues the women to rise and fight for gender equality. She advocates for the

rejection of victimiszation that cast women as lesser beings and fight for women empowerment.

She proposes for ender equality to enable the women to contribute to the state's political, social

and economic growth. According to Wolf, the women in the United States are more than half of

the population and vote at a higher percentage than the male. Therefore, they have the power to

make the changes needed for the support of gender equality. She also addresses the puzzle: Most

women support the objectives of feminist activities that fight for equal rights, opportunities and

equal pay for similar responsibilities. They also promote good medical care, equal education

opportunities and child care programs, and ending domestic violence and sexual harassment.

However, they do not take the responsibility of making the change. Instead, they call themselves

feminists but do not demonstrate feminism.

The situation within feminist movements

The feminist movements originated in the united state in 1848 when the first meeting was

held in Seneca Falls, New York. Naomi Wolf is involved in the third-wave feminist movement.

wave. It was made possible the previous second wave movement that was led by professional

and influential feminists. Naomi identified herself as a feminist publicly and worked tirelessly

for women's rights in the United States. The main objective of the campaigns was to fight for

reforms on women. They addressed issues such as domestic violence, reproductive rights,

maternity leave, equal pay, among other qualities.
