LISTENING TASK: Instead of just allowing your child or children to draw, explain this
is a listening task and describe what you would like your child to do one step at a time.
This activity works well with precut shapes as a craft activity.
1. Give your Monster ___ arms.

3. Give your monster _____ eyes.
4. Give your monster (describe) hair.
Additional ideas:
● Make Feelings monsters out of playdough.
● Make paper plate feelings monsters.
● Use mirrors and look at facial expressions.
● Play a miming game – but have children try to guess how you are feeling. Take
turns.
● Make squishy stress balls by filling balloons with flour. Double the balloon before
filling to increase durability.
