1.-The City:
-Cusco:
The city of the Cuzco is in Perú, Cuzco in the Quechua language means the navel
of the world. It is a well-known city in the world, I had the opportunity to know the
city of the Inca Empire.
2.- Tourist Places:
-Macchu Picchu:
Is an old town incaico and it is cosidered one of the seven wonders of the world. Is
very visited tourists from all over of the world.
-La piedra de los Doce Angulos:
It is a stone block of the Inca culture that is part of a palace located on Hatun
Rumiyoq Street in the city of Cuzco,
-Sacsaywaman:
It is an Inca "ceremonial fortress" located two kilometers north of the city of Cusco.
In this place it rains continuously when Cusco is in winter
-Tambomachay:
Is an archaeological site that was destined for the cult of water and so that the
potentate of the Inca Empire could rest.
-Sacsaywaman:
-Kenko:
It is an archaeological center located in the city of Cusco, 2 km from the city of
Cuzco (5 min. northeast of Cuzco).
-The Catedral of the Cuzco:
It is the main temple of the city of Cusco, in this cathedral I met my friend
Katherine, she is Brazilian.
3.- Typical Foods:
-Chiri Uchu:
It’s delicius it’s ingredients are chicken, carrots, pore stems, peper, salt, huacatay,
seaweed, sausages, rocoto and fresh cheese.
-The Sopa Chairo:
It’s delicius it’s ingredients are black chuños, driet meat, lamb guts, potatoes,
wheat, garlic and cumin.
-Cuy al Horno
It’s delicius it’s ingredients are pig, garlic, huacatay, oil, lemons and salt.
-Choclo with Cheese
-It’s delicius it’s ingredients are corn and cheese.
4.-Languagues:
-Quechua
It is the original language of Cusco that is spoken from the Incas until now.
-Aymara:
It is the language that was originated in the highlands and was brought to cuzco.
-Español:
It is the language most spoken in the city.
5.-Traditions:
-Inty Raymi “The party of the Sol”:
The Inti Raymi or Fiesta del Sol is a celebration that revaluates the Inca tradition in
the regions of the Andes, especially in the city of Cusco.
-Carnaval Cusqueño
The Cusqueño Carnival is a party that has a variety of dances, yunzas or
cortamontes, games with water and talcum that last about a month.
6.-Transport in the City:
In the city of Cusco people can:
-Drive a car
-Walk
-Take a trein:
It is the most used means of transportation to travel to Macchu Picchu.
-Take a taxi:
It is the means of transport where you travel faster in the historic city of Cusco,
there you are only charged 2 soles per person.
-Take a bus:
It is the most used means of transport to go to the archeological centers, and to
tour the city
